How to setup Ventrillo to voice chat with your guildies :)

Yep it's true we have a vent server for our guild. In case you don't know what Vent or Ventrillo is let me explain.

Vent is a chat server that allows people to talk to one another while playing online games (in this case WOW). You can chat easily with your guild members while playing and it's free (we have a vent server already paid for). All you need as a guildie is a Headset it's that easy!

So here is how you set it up. First your going to want to download the software to allow you to talk, The software is name Ventrillo and you can download it by going here:

Once downloaded then your going to need to setup the chat client (program) this is how you do it.

1. Run Ventrillo
2. First setup a User Name for yourself do this by looking where it says USER NAME and to the right of that you will see this tab "->" click on that and it will bring you to another menu. Click on the "New" tab then enter your desired USER NAME when finished click ok on that window, then ok on the next window.
3. Next step is entering the "SERVER" info enter this on the main ventrillo window your going to look for where it says "SERVER" and to the right of that you see this tab "->" click on that and it will bring you to another menu. Click on the "New" tab then enter the server name as "wolvesofwonder" then hit ok. Then on that same window look for where it says "HOST NAME OR IP" your going to want to enter this info: vent9.light-speed.com
4. Next step is entering the "PORT" info which is: 9011
5. Next step is entering the "PASSWORD" info which is: wolfpack
6. Then hit "OK"
7. We are just about done On the main chat window your going to want to hit the "CONNECT KEY" then it will connect you. If you have your volume turned up you should hear a little quick song of a few notes to let you know it connected. What you should see is your "USER NAME" in the wolvesofwonder chatroom. To talk you just hold the CTRL button while talking. Its that easy! Make sure that the buttons down at the bottom of that window are not selected as "MUTE SOUND"
