Code of Conduct (MUST READ FOR EVERYONE)

Post  Skyehawk on Sat Mar 29, 2008 3:05 am

Our first focus in our guild is to have FUN. We have to keep in mind that while everyone likes to have fun sometimes things can be said that can be interpreted in the wrong fashion. Try to treat everyone as an equal, Ask yourself before making a statement if that person might find that offensive. If you think it might be interpreted in the wrong way DON'T SAY IT Smile

We want everyone to feel comfortable. If you have any concerns or issues pertaining to an individual or with guild rules please let me or any of the pack leaders know. Having everyone happy helps make our guild more enjoyable Smile

Demanding that someone do something for you is not tolerable. Nobody has to do anything they dont feel comfortable or want to do. Repeat Demanding is considered harassment and is not acceptable guild behavior. Examples of this can include:

1. Demanding to be leveled or ran through an instance
2. Demanding for money or items
3. Demanding someone to do anything they might not be able to do at that moment
4. Demanding for special priviledges

Remember the key is to ASK, and when asking do so in a polite fashion Smile If the answer to your question is "NO" or "Not Right Now" please don't continue to harass the individual Smile

Sexual Harasment will not be tolerated. Making of any sexual harasing comments to make any female in the guild feel uncomfortable is an instant guild kick. Keep in mind that what you might think is hilarious someone else might find extremely offensive.

Cursing is allowed in moderation, Not to put someone down. It's normal to get excited and to type out the "F" bomb and others. Excessive cursing will not be tolerated (every other word out of your mouth).

Argueing on the guild channel will not be tolerated. If you have something to say to someone please don't think it is ok for the whole guild to know about it. This is considered rude and embarassing. If you have an issue with someone talk to that individual through a Private message or make a group chat with just that individual.

One other aspect of guild behavior that we frown upon is the "Im better then you" persona. What I mean by this is acting like your the king of all knowledge and only your views are right. Yes it's ok to think this way but please don't try to put someone else down for thinking otherwise. Every one has an opinion. Keep in mind that someone else might not have the experience you do. This does not make you better then that individual, this is a game. Having fun is the key. Making someone feel stupid is not acceptable guild behavior.

These are the core aspects of our code of conduct rules for our guild. Now let's talk about how these rules will be enforced:

1. Generally you will be asked to refrain from continuing breaking these rules. I or a Pack Leader will discuss with you privately these matters and try to see if we can work this out. If after 2 mentoring sessions the individual continues to not comply then individual will be removed from the guild.

2. Instant Guild kicks will be enforced under the discretion of myself and Pack Leaders. We generally don't like to do this, but will do in the event that we believe no other remedy can fix the situation.

These rules are set in place to let everyone feel comfortable and happy within our guild. We are here to have a good time and we want all of you to continue to be a important part of our guild family. I look forward to hearing your responses to any of these guidelines, and if you have any other matters that you think should be included please let me know and I'll gladly include them Smile Remember we are a Pack!
